At 7.45pm on Tuesday 14th January, West Yorkshire Brass got off to a flying start to 2025.
The band held its Annual General Meeting, chaired by Peter Hellawell.
After the usual statements and acceptancies, the following members were appointed to the official rolls of the band:-

MUSICAL DIRECTOR – Peter Hellawell
DEPUTY MUSICAL DIRECTOR – George Mitchell
SECRETARY / TREASURER – Betty Emberton
LIBRARIAN – Craig Russell
BAND SERGEANT – Ian Siddall
WEBSITE MANAGER – David Holdsworth
CLOTHING MANAGER – Linda Atkinson
BANNER MANAGERS – Stephen Hall / Richard Brier
KEY HOLDERS – David Holdsworth / Steve Galpin

Betty Emberton was tasked with organising the annual dinner in April at Cleckheaton Golf Club.

And so commenced the first rehearsal of 2025.

West Yorkshire Brass will hold its first rehearsal of 2025 on Tuesday 14th January. The rehearsal will be preceded by the Band Annual General Meeting at 7.45pm.

After an excellent final concert of the year at St. Andrew’s Church, Undercliffe, there is only one thing to say:- FROM ALL AT WEST YORKSHIRE BRASS

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR

An hour long West Yorkshire Brass performance in Roberts Park, Saltaire in the residue of Storm Darragh was indeed ‘parky’ to say the least.
Due to the weather, the Farmers Christmas Market event was poorly attended by the public.
The good news, however, is that our return visit in August of 2025 should not only be be better attended but a lot warmer too.
